Start with a link you are allowed to save
AnyVideoDownload is a free browser tool for public videos on Facebook, Instagram, X, Vimeo, and Dailymotion, plus previews of YouTube videos. You do not install an app or create an account. Copy the video address, paste it on the homepage, and choose a file only when the site publishes one.
Save videos you own or have permission to keep. The tool does not sign in to private accounts, open group-only posts, or remove DRM, paywalls, or region locks.
Use the three-step flow
The same box works on a phone and on a desktop browser.
- Copy the video URL from the share menu or the address bar. Short links such as fb.watch, youtu.be, and dai.ly are fine.
- Paste it into AnyVideoDownload and press Get Download Links. The page names the platform and loads the public title and thumbnail.
- If MP4 options appear, pick a size. The highest listed quality is the first button. If no file is published, use Open original and the note on that result.
Pick the page that matches the site
Each platform has its own downloader and a longer guide. Use the Facebook downloader, Instagram downloader, X downloader, Vimeo downloader, or Dailymotion downloader. YouTube links open a preview and point to YouTube's own offline tools, which is explained in the YouTube guide.
On a phone, follow the iPhone guide or the Android guide. If a link fails, use the troubleshooting guide.
What a result can include
A successful result shows the platform, title, creator when that name is public, and a thumbnail. Download buttons appear only for direct MP4 files the platform already exposes, such as a public post on X. Stream-only videos may show details without a file. That is expected, not a broken button.
Links are used to read public details and are not stored as an account history. There is nothing to log in to.
Questions
Is AnyVideoDownload free?
Yes. The tools run in the browser with no account.
Can every link be saved as an MP4?
No. Only public videos that publish a direct file, and only when you have the right to keep them.
Do I need an app?
No. A current browser on a phone or computer is enough.
