How to download a public Instagram Reel

Public posts only

The Instagram video downloader accepts public Reel, post, and TV links on instagram.com. Private accounts and Stories that require a login are skipped. Paste the link only if you own the clip or you are allowed to keep a copy.

Copy a Reel link

Instagram hides the full address inside the share sheet on phones.

1. Open the Reel or video post.
2. Tap the share icon, then Copy link. On desktop, copy the address from the browser.
3. The path should look like /reel/ or /p/ followed by a short code.
4. Paste that URL into AnyVideoDownload and press Get Download Links.
5. Save an MP4 if it is listed. Otherwise the original post stays the source.

What will not load

Stories, close-friends posts, and anything behind a private profile are out of scope. A highlight or story URL will not be turned into a file by bypassing Instagram's login.
