Use Chrome or another browser

Open AnyVideoDownload in Chrome. The page is built for a phone first: the paste field, the download buttons, and the platform list stack vertically on a narrow screen.

From a share sheet to a file

Android can copy a link and then store the MP4 in Downloads.

  1. In the video app, tap Share and choose Copy link.
  2. Open AnyVideoDownload and paste the URL.
  3. Tap Get Download Links.
  4. Tap the quality you want. Chrome shows the download in the notification shade and in the Downloads app.
  5. Open the MP4 from Downloads or from the Files app.

If Chrome asks where to save

You can leave the default Downloads folder. The site does not request storage permission beyond what the browser already uses for a normal file download.

The same public-only rules apply. See how to download videos online.

Questions

Which browser should I use?

Chrome is the usual choice. Firefox and other current browsers work too.

Where does the MP4 go?

Into the browser's download list, usually the Downloads folder.

Why did the video play instead of saving?

Some hosts open a player when a direct link is used. Use the Download button on the result, which requests the file as an attachment.
