How to download a video from X
Save an MP4 from a public post on X (Twitter). Protected accounts and age-restricted media are not opened.

Use the post URL
A video on X lives on a status link: x.com or twitter.com, then a username, then /status/ and a number. Paste that full URL into the X video downloader. The tool reads the public post and lists MP4 sizes when the post includes a video file.
Save a quality
Public posts can include several sizes. Pick the one that fits the device.
- Open the post and copy its link from Share or the address bar.
- Paste it and press Get Download Links.
- Check the title, author, and thumbnail.
- Choose a size such as 720p or 1080p. The largest available file is listed first.
- The file downloads as an MP4 through the site.
Posts that stay on X
Protected accounts are not read. Age-restricted media is not accessed. A post with only photos has no video file to save. If the result has no buttons, the post did not include a public MP4.
