How to download a Vimeo video the creator allows
Preview a public Vimeo video and save a file when the creator has enabled downloads. Password-protected videos are never bypassed.

Downloads follow the creator's settings
Vimeo lets the owner decide whether a file can be downloaded. The Vimeo video downloader loads the public title, author, and thumbnail, then lists an MP4 only when Vimeo publishes a progressive file. A streaming-only video can be previewed here and watched on Vimeo.
Paste a Vimeo address
Use the public video page, not a password prompt.
- Open the video on vimeo.com and copy the URL. It usually ends with a numeric id.
- Paste it into AnyVideoDownload and press Get Download Links.
- Read the creator name and the note under the preview.
- Download an MP4 if buttons are shown. If not, use Open on Vimeo and the creator's own Download control when they enabled it.
What is never bypassed
Password-protected videos, private links that are not public, and DRM playback are left alone. Do not look for a workaround on this site. If you uploaded the video, download the original from your Vimeo account settings.
Questions
Why can I see the title but not a file?
The video is public, but the creator did not publish a direct download.
Will a password video work if I know the password?
No. Password-protected videos are never bypassed.
Can I download my own Vimeo upload?
Use Vimeo's download tools in your account, or this page when the video's settings expose a file.
